2016 STATEGIC PLAN

Dawson Creek & District Chamber of Commerce

 

TOP THREE PRIORITIES:

• Maintain current direction in working with members to maximize opportunity to market and grow their businesses. Continue advocating for events such as business 2 business ,boot camps, job fairs and other local opportunities

• Manage, maintain and actively participate on the NE BC Coalition

• Manage, maintain and actively participate on the Tourism Steering Committee

• Manage, maintain and actively patriciate in the Women in Energy

TOP THREE SECONDARY PRIORITIES FOR 2016

• Directors will work to increase the # of directors on the board and designate a president and vice president

• Membership drive co-ordinated by staff

• Directors to create a succession plan with job description and expectations for new staff. This is a forward looking directive as budgets will be determined by financial strength and outcomes of the Alaska Highway House and Tourism Dawson Creek contract.

 

 

-New revenue streams for the Chamber

The Board of Directors and Staff are committed to find new revenue streams to assist with the ongoing expense of advocacy.  Some of the strategies are:

-providing Governance/Board of Directors training to Non Profit Organizations

-better market member benefits such as Chamber Insurance Plan and Versa Pay

-continue to streamline operations and expenses

-create revenue generating events
