SUMMARY:Luncheon: Guest speaker Matthew Rivard from Compass Cannabis Clinic
DESCRIPTION:Matthew Rivard is the Managing Partner for Compass Cannabis Clinic in Dawson Creek British Columbia. The Clinic is committed to supporting individuals as they explore alternative medicinal remedies. The core philosophy is one of advocacy for patients who are looking to learn more about the cannabis industry and the variety in products that it affords. \nMatthew and his Marketing Director will provide information about the clinic as well as take questions from the floor. This is a terrific opportunity to better understand the cannabis industry and the future of clinics such as Compass Cannabis Clinic. \nMatthew was born and raised in a small farming community in Southern Ontario where his family owned and operated a Sawmill. When he was old enough to push a broom\, the family had him involved in the business\, before and after school as well as over the summer holidays. After Graduation from John McGregor Secondary School in Chatham Ontario\, he joined and served six years in the Canadian Armed Forces as a Combat Diver in the Corp of Engineers based out of Edmonton Alberta. Matthew performed multiple supporting roles in his position and one tour of duty in Bosnia Herzegovina. \nAfter his tour\, Matthew returned to Canada and married a local resident of Dawson Creek. Deciding to leave the service and move to his wife’s home town he pursued a career as an electrician and achieved his journeyman certification. \nBefore devoting his work full time to the Clinic\, Matthew was the Union President and Electronics Foreman for School District #59 for over ten years. Matthew is also a volunteer firefighter for the City of Dawson Creek and owns a small diving business where performs underwater maintenance and recovery. \nRegister on EventBrite
