When he was old enough to push a broom\, the family had him involved in the business\, before and after school as well as over the summer holidays. After Graduation from John McGregor Secondary School in Chatham Ontario\, he joined and served six years in the Canadian Armed Forces as a Combat Diver in the Corp of Engineers based out of Edmonton Alberta. Matthew performed multiple supporting roles in his position and one tour of duty in Bosnia Herzegovina. \nAfter his tour\, Matthew returned to Canada and married a local resident of Dawson Creek. Deciding to leave the service and move to his wife’s home town he pursued a career as an electrician and achieved his journeyman certification. \nBefore devoting his work full time to the Clinic\, Matthew was the Union President and Electronics Foreman for School District #59 for over ten years.
