Weeks ago, you shared your thoughts with us on how the Chamber can best advance its mission in 2023. One key priority identified by our membership was the Chamber facilitating events for our membership.
In that spirit, we would like to extend an invitation to all of our members to host an “After 5 Mixer” at their place of business (or at our new building downtown!). These mixers are a great way to showcase your business, connect with other members, and support a local non-profit of your choice.
Hosting an “After 5 Mixer” involves providing some form of hospitality for attendees, such as drinks or coffee or snacks. We predict a $10 admission fee for attendees, which will go towards a non-profit of the host’s choice. This is a fantastic opportunity to give back to the community while promoting your business.
To kick this tour off, I want to invite you to the Chamber building at 5:30pm May 4th, 2023 for a “Welcome to the Chamber Building” mixer, hosted by the Chamber itself. At this meeting, we hope to share an economic outlook for the South Peace, some light refreshments and treats and an opportunity to get to meet some fellow businesses.
Our hope is to build weekly mixers, ideally on Thursday evenings, to build excitement within the Dawson Creek business community.
