Each year, the Haunted Village comes to life thanks to the incredible support of local volunteers, organizations, and businesses. With multiple historic houses, storefronts, and displays throughout Walter Wright Pioneer Village, we rely on community members to help decorate each space and hand out candy to the thousands of excited trick‑or‑treaters who wander through on Halloween night.

Local businesses also play a huge role in making the event magical. Every year, we invite businesses across the region to donate candy—and with so many families coming through the gates, those contributions help ensure this remains one of Dawson Creek’s most memorable and inclusive trick‑or‑treating experiences.   In 2025, over 40,000 pieces of candy were handed out!
