Statement from the Outgoing President
“It is with mixed emotions that I announce my intention to step down as President of the Dawson Creek and District Chamber of Commerce at the end of my current term.
Given my recent declaration to run in the upcoming municipal elections, I feel it is in the best interests of both myself and the Chamber to step away from my role at this time. I would not want my upcoming campaign to affect the work or integrity of the organization, its members, or the community.
While I will no longer hold the role of President, I will continue to serve the Chamber in my capacity as Past President/Director, with the same dedication and commitment I always have. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have held this position for the last two years, and the insights and experiences it has afforded me. My fellow Board members have provided me valuable support throughout my tenure, and I know that they will continue to excel in my absence. The Chamber is fortunate to have such a strong and dedicated Board and staff, and I am lucky to consider them not just my peers, but my friends.
My term will conclude at our upcoming AGM, on August 31, 2026. Until that time, I will continue to serve in my current capacity and look forward to working with you.”
